Listening to the melody of hurt gone by
Closing my eyes I hear the flute play
Caressing my broken heart, repairing what has been shattered
Listening to the melody being played
I hear the whispers saying
Love is not lost; love is in one’s heart
Listening to the sway of the notes
Hearing every beat in my heart
I listen to the melody the tinkling of the keys
Playing as if they are tiny rain drops upon my heart
Mending what was shattered, pulling the strings together
Bring us closer still
What seems a world apart is but one melody away
The beat it plays with one’s soul, closing our eyes
We truly will see
What we hear is the melody
Can you hear it too the song it’s playing
Can you feel the rhythm in your soul?
Pulling us closer still
Feeling the other in ways no one understands
The touch of one’s hand the touch
Of one’s heart to another
Can you hear the song, not letting the other be
Can you hear the melody?
Drums begin to beat pulling us closer still
We stop and realize the drums we hear
are the drum beats of being the connection
we thought we had lost.
Beating its rhythm can you hear it too?
It’s bringing me closer to you.
Heats pounding as one feeling the others heat closing our eyes
The tinkling of the keys, rain drops fall
Eyes open to see the rain drops are tears
Of joy, tears of peace, bringing us closer still
Feeling the need

The melody it’s playing the rhythm and the beat

The things others do to gain their trust
The lies that are said and done
The heartache that is spread
Others do not understand why we run
When we think all is well and couldn’t get any better
With the flick of a pen there comes a letter
Anger spoken before knowing the truth
Because of what others have done leaves you
Lost and confused.
Trying to live a life with hope and trust
Leaves us open to those who prey upon others
Hurts, fears, love
Just so they can fulfill their own lust
The heartache others can bring we want to heal
Unknowing to others how hard this process is
and how this feels.
Let not those that look to the heavens
Praying for peace, love and hope
Be left without understanding, truth, listening
And trust of your heart
We look to you for giving us lives
Filled with happiness, sharing, and the eyes to see
Some of the things we do we have done out
Of lies spoken, backs being turned with
No answers as to why you left us in this
Way.
The heartache others had done pushes our thinking
To the limits, oh how our hearts are breaking
Forgive us our misunderstandings of those who
Are honest and true
For you are the one that we have sought the ones
Who hearts are pure
The heartache others bring leaves us with only
One thought

Heart strings pulled and tugged leaving its mark
Wondering what to do is this an
Illusion of my heart
Games people play, emotions rising up, dropping one off the cliff
Falling what seems forever falling
Into the mist
How does one learn to trust when someone plays with another’s
heart? How does one move forward?
When bound in this eternal storm
Life has meaning why play with the strings
leaving another so lost and forlorn.
I have a heart; I have a soul when all I ask is for someone
to be careful not to shatter what little that is left
just be honest giving life that last
piece of hope.
Illusions and games people play, life is too short
Why are you taking my life away?
I have done nothing to deserve this kind of hurt
I have done nothing to be tossed out into the dirt.

So what gives you the right to hurt me as you do?

Mind all muddled, thoughts astounding
Whispers heard, warm breath is felt

Wishing wells, wishing songs, wishing I was somewhere else wishing is that all that is left
Living in heartache, and loneliness wanting to be held but no arms around me keeping me safe
Where do I stand in this subliminal life..wishing in my heart for that one true happiness
Does it exist? Is it real?
Wishing for that one to find me and take me away from all my hurt and make me smile
Wishing to stop spinning round in my head, running into brick walls that are invisible to the eye but felt with each crash of my heart.
Where do I turn, who is there to pick up the pieces of my heartache, who is there to turn me around and set it right.
Wishing I may wishing I might where is the love that is in me to give but not able to be given
Taken from my soul taken from my inner most being what am I seeing?
That secret place take me away, take me to the sunshine of my life, wishing is that all that is left of my life
Turmoil and tears take over, heart is aching and beating a rhythm of its own not known to me what will I be.
Wishing things that will not come to pass is this how I will spend life alone in the grass
Lying there dreaming a dream only I can see wishing I were somewhere else instead of in the rolling sea
Tears fall upon my lips salty they are, eyes looking to heaven gazing upon that one star

“Lost in Translation”
Words seem lost in translation, unspoken sometimes they are
Wondering what should have been said, not knowing if they reached that far
Feelings hurt in the lost unspoken words,... how is one to know if not made clear for the other to understand
Confusion sometimes plays havoc on ones emotions when lost these
Words are, how does one know where they stand
Looking to feel what others emit, trying to reach out and be there
Doors are shut to one’s own feelings, leaving me without a clue
Trying to feel you, trying hard as I do, doors have been shut
I am so lost without you
Reaching far and wide, looking to be there standing by your side
When all it takes are a few words said, worry takes over feelings of dread
Knowing I have done nothing wrong, silence seems to take over, feelings of not knowing which way to turn,
the feelings left unknown
Love can scare one into a tailspin...turning lives around in silence without
realizing it is happening; running away is not the answer, facing what...are we ever so sure
Taking those steps to complete the circle, trying to understand all that is needed
Looking forward to life with you, my feelings I feel are unheeded
Being kept out of the loop to privacy kept so tight,
trying to understand...What goes on in one’s life?
Not knowing what to think, how can one be of any help
If one is left unknowing, discovery on the brink
Words so lost in translation, silence to endure, feelings shadowed by hurt
Emotions running wild, thoughts all over the place
When nothing is said to another, no words, but silence leaving me without a trace
What does one need to do when they are so In Love with you?

To consume ones heart is to consume ones soul
To give that kind of love is something only two lovers can give
To love unconditionally with no boundaries
This kind of love comes only once in ones many lifetimes
Because that love is never ending but all consuming.
Lifetimes of loving is what many search their whole lives for
Keeping that kind of love through all the centuries past
Is the kind of love that is made to always last.
To give unconditionally all of ones mind, body, heart and soul
Can you imagine the love that is bound by one persons hold?
To never fear but trust with all of ones heart
Giving as we all want to do, Giving all of you
Never to be taken for granted but loved beyond the stars
Emotions run wild hearts begin its flutter
The universe our living desires
When the two hearts meet, it knows beyond our own reasoning
Sometimes not listening to it can be our undoing
But to feel that flicker of warmth deep in the pit of its being
We know there is no rhyme or loss of believing
Our inner core takes over and shows us where we have been
with the other, not stopping its means and purpose knowing
this is what is meant to be.
Do not question what is presented to us we feel is our fate
Our charts have been pre-written
Nothing can we dismiss, this our destiny written in the mist
Dreaming our dreams our hopes and prayers
Hoping the other hears with their inner self
Knowing it cannot be placed back on that shelf
We feel that pull we cannot explain
We know without a doubt from whence they came
Life is as it should be being whole and feelings of complete

Sitting with my thoughts, remembering that first day
Looking back at what we have said, what else can one say
I look at you and my heart begins its rhythmic pace
My thoughts still running its course, trying to find that perfect place.
The song Truly Madly Deeply says it all
The lust for the other, the want and desire to devour our souls as one
Our love grows with each passing day,
Wanting the touch that brings us to our knees and causes us to fall
We are meant to be as one, we are meant to live in our perfect harmony
Breathing that longed for life into the other looking in ones eyes
Our breath becomes labored our souls the others demise
Never fearing what is to be…this our love is one of so many
We have been with the other on so many planes that life has given us
The knowing in our hearts, and the truth, the will, the want…that ever Devouring lust.
Trusting in the other as we do, not fearing the will to survive this Climb
In our subliminal existence we have searched far and wide
Wondering if the other had survived
Our existence a mere pebble in a pond is this the meaning of
being sublime
Through all the passing of time, our sultry dreams come into play
Fulfilling each of ones deepest desires, yearning for that peace
